Sick. But Sweet.
Josh is one of the best voice artists I know. His talents make an ordinary piece become extraordinary. Lucky for him this animated short was already visually entertaining. Best of both. Great job.

There's a DQ in the woods...
I just happened to pull this up and watch this while I had a house-full of my family over for a visit. Little did I realize they were crowded behind me watching. We all broke out laughing when the girl cried about wanting a blizzard.
This is why I love newgrounds. Great job!
"SHUT UP BILLY!"
Lol. That damn Billy.....
What can I say? This was an awesome piece of work. Cinematic quality.
10/5
unsurprisingly...
rtil carried this collab. great work, man.

So original. You turned a character of death into..... something else. And I've always loved La Valse dAmelie.
Fun to watch.
Nice Work
A few misguided people below me seem to think this is simply about which of two races has killed more of another. Its not, although the poem speaks of a specific era. Your message is universal since it's dedicated to ALL victims of racism "past, present, & future".
Its not a competition of which race to feel more sorry for. Lets not turn this into an unnecessary political "confusion" for the sake of arguing. The animation was beautiful.
4/5 for quality
9/10 for creativity
Thank you, that was indeed the arguing I was trying to evade.
Lol. Sick...
Modest animating pulled together with great dialogue. Did you use flash or another program to animate it?
I did all the drawings in Photoshop, the animating and compositing in After Effects, and mixing the audio and cutting the final piece in Final Cut Pro.
Priceless
An instant classic.
Made me Smile
Calvin & Hobbes has always been one of my favorite strips of all time. That along with 'For Better Or For Worse'. It was great to see an old memory put into motion. It made me reminisce to way back when. I would've liked to see more though. Using something as iconic as this comic would have done good to be more elaborate. It was a great toon! Hope you expand on it in the future and give us something to glue our eyes to the screen for.
I paint like there's no tomorrow.
